AN EXTRAORDINARY FARM
You've heard of incubators for high-tech start-ups and those seeking to make a difference in the lab, but an incubator for farmers? That is exactly the purpose Duke Farms seeks to serve by using 100 acres of its expansive property to offer start-up farmers a space to work and grow without the substantial overhead costs involved in an independent farm.
Duke Farms, which has a long history, is also hosting NOFA-NJ's summer food symposium on Friday, June 21. Ilene Dube has the story.
