Ezekiel's Table to Reopen

Ezekiel’s Table, the cooking school run by Marcia Willsie out of her 300-year-old farmhouse at 974 Mercer Road in Princeton, which closed temporarily in February, 2009, plans to reopen its doors for cooking class parties at the beginning of 2011. The house was featured as part of the 2009 Historical Society of Princeton Home Tour (“History Comes Home,” cover story, U.S. 1, October 28, 2009) and Ezekiel’s Table was also featured as a cover story (“This Chef’s Secret Ingredient: Do It Yourself,” March 26, 2008).

The business had to close its doors temporarily while regulations regarding home cooking schools were clarified. Willsie took the issue to Nikki Graham, legislative aide to Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson-Coleman, who worked tirelessly with the state to find a way to accommodate small home-based cooking schools.

On Tuesday, September 7, Willsie received a letter from Princeton Township informing her that regulations would now allow her business to operate. While Willsie still has other zoning issues to work through, her hope is that she can reopen on January 1.Follow developments at www.EzekielsTable.com or call 609-240-7712.

I am thrilled to hear of the reopening of Ezekiel's TCENRAable. Marcia has such a creative mind that she can taylor events to satisfy most every need. Her kitchen is a wonderful space to use. One could grow professionally while being in an environment that feels like home.

Thank you for the announcement! I just wanted to say that I'll hopefully be opening my doors at the beginning of 2011! Cheers!
