Ezekiel’s Table, the cooking school run by Marcia Willsie out of her 300-year-old farmhouse at 974 Mercer Road in Princeton, which closed temporarily in February, 2009, plans to reopen its doors for cooking class parties at the beginning of 2011. The house was featured as part of the 2009 Historical Society of Princeton Home Tour (“History Comes Home,” cover story, U.S. 1, October 28, 2009) and Ezekiel’s Table was also featured as a cover story (“This Chef’s Secret Ingredient: Do It Yourself,” March 26, 2008).

The business had to close its doors temporarily while regulations regarding home cooking schools were clarified. Willsie took the issue to Nikki Graham, legislative aide to Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson-Coleman, who worked tirelessly with the state to find a way to accommodate small home-based cooking schools.

On Tuesday, September 7, Willsie received a letter from Princeton Township informing her that regulations would now allow her business to operate.
