MCCC Hosts Career Planning Sessions

The Mercer County Community College Center for Continuing Studies (CCS) is hosting an information session for adults seeking advice and course descriptions for new careers.

The free session, to be held on Wednesday, January 11, at 6 p.m., will be at the Conference Center on the college’s West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

“Back to School Night for Adults” is for those exploring new careers, planning to reenter the work force, or seeking insights into emerging career trends. CCS staff and instructors will offer individualized information and advice about short-term, non-credit certificate programs and classes.

Options at Mercer include computer training from beginner to advanced, business and management, numerous health careers, and continuing teacher education, plus hundreds of courses online. Many classes are offered for continuing education units. Attendees will receive a coupon waiving the $10 registration fee for spring courses.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, January 26, at 5:30 p.m., the center will host an information session for “New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey,” an alternate route program to teacher certification for those who already have a bachelor’s and/or graduate degree.

No preregistration is required for information sessions. For further information and/or to register for non-credit courses, call 609-570-3311 or e-mail ComEd@mccc.edu. The January-May course bulletin is available online at www.mccc.edu/ccs or by calling the office for a print copy.
