The Palmer Square office of PNC Wealth Management will oversee funds for the Eric LeGrand Believe Fund, established by a $75,000 donation by the New Jersey Nets to help raise awareness for the Rutgers football player who was paralyzed in a recent game. Non tax-deductible contributions to the fund go directly to the LeGrand family and will be used at their discretion. To donate, contact LeGrand Believe Fund, PNC Wealth Management, Attn: Kimberly G. The New Jersey Coalition for Battered Women, a Trenton-based nonprofit, has been named along with 11 other domestic violence-oriented nonprofits in the state to receive part of $150,000 in grants from the Verizon Foundation. The funds will support technology-based programs that raise awareness of domestic violence and provide support to survivors.

Rutgers University has received a $1.5 million grant from Goldman Sachs, designed to provide complete tuition and other support to New Jersey high school students with pressing financial needs to pursue their undergraduate education at Rutgers’ School of Arts and Sciences.
