Brian Gavin moderates a March 28 Princeton Tech Meetup discussion on AI and accessibility.

The Princeton Tech Meetup community gathers at Princeton Public Library on Thursday, March 28, for networking and discussions on “how to enable personalized accessible experiences through AI & automation.”

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at the library located at 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton. Cost: $10. Registration is via meetup.com. For more information visit https://princetonlibrary.libnet.info/event/10412498.

The moderator for the discussion is Brian Gavin, a tech evangelist and co-founder of Wally, a firm that uses artificial intelligence to enhance content accessibility. Other panelists are Irfan Ali, global head of digital accessibility for asset management company BlackRock, and Raghul Nandagopal, vice president-engineering at business information and research firm Dun & Bradstreet.

As event materials explain, “automation and Artificial Intelligence is changing the way we build personas and personalization. Transforming or creating your accessibility strategy to offer new methods of digital experience opens an unprecedented opportunity. How is your audience who has an accessibility preference currently experiencing your website, app or other digital media content? Accessibility is more than compliance, it’s about creating powerful experiences that drive engagement. AI and Automation will change how personalization reaches the Accessibility space. Are we ready?”

Topics of discussion will include building and scaling an effective accessibility strategy; leveraging existing domain expertise around automation, AI, and personalization for accessibility; strategy shifts to include accessibility; and the risks and rewards of technology disruptions emerging.
